Construction Technology

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students learn residential construction skills needed for a career in the home building and remodeling industry. Hands on projects involve carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, roofing, tile, drywall, painting, blueprint reading, and much more. Employment opportunities and apprenticeship programs are discussed. The Construction Technology program, allows students the opportunity to earn college credit towards a Construction Management Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.

 
 

SUCCESS PROFILE

A desire to work outdoors and the ability to work at varying

heights are essential qualities. Basic math skills, manual

dexterity and pride in one's work are important.
