Director of Student Services Tracey Hill, left, introduces Marian Bryson to the Joint Operating Committee.

Mariah stood out from the crowd immediately because of her infectious smile and willingness to say hello to everyone she passed. This girl is a leader and has been involved in every activity that UBCTS has to offer. The only way to cover everything that Mariah has accomplished is to list them all.

Mariah has earned her temporary cosmetology license in three years and is studying for the boards so she can be officially certified before she graduates. She is currently applying to local salons in hopes of getting a co-op job.

After she graduates, Mariah is looking to move to Virginia or North Carolina where she hopes to transfer her cosmetology license and apply to college to pursue a law degree.

Mariah's favorite part of being at the tech school is the opportunities she has had to help organize events and see her ideas come to life. She has helped SKILLS USA to grow and expand our involvement in many functions, more than we have had in years.

Mariah said she is really going to miss how everyone is like family here. She is comfortable when she walks through the door and said it feels like a second home.

If we ever need anything done, Mariah has been our go to person. She is full of ideas and is willing to follow through on everything she suggests or volunteers for. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Mariah the past three years and we are looking forward to what she has on deck for this year.
