Energy Efficiency Pays Off

PECO Check Executives from PECO stopped by the Joint Operating Committee meeting on April 21 to present us with a ceremonial check for $18,351 for including energy-efficient lighting and motors controlled by variable frequency drives (VFD's) in our recent upgrade and expansion project. The grant was made through the PECO Smart Idea program.

"On behalf of the JOC, our students, and staff, we appreciate PECO's support," said UBTECH Executive Director Bern Wagenseller. "We are committed to innovation in everything we do, including saving energy that in turn saves taxpayer dollars. With these measures, we will be saving energy and money for year to sot come."
